Before the song and the stop-motion special, Rudolph was a little book. Robert L. May wrote the story in 1939 for Montgomery Ward, which gave away nearly two and a half million copies to kids that Christmas. This hardcover facsimile brings back the original text and Denver Gillen illustrations, right down to the bright red cover.
Tuck it under the tree, read it aloud on Christmas Eve, or give it to the person who still knows every word. It makes a sweet family tradition and a thoughtful gift for collectors of holiday classics.
