Work, health, love: the Camp Fire Girls packed a whole philosophy into one made-up word, WoHeLo. This faithful paperback reprint of the organization's original 1912 manual covers membership tests, ranks, and elective honors, from tying square knots and sleeping with the windows open to earning your way to Torch Bearer.
It is a lovely gift for former campers, counselors, troop leaders, and anyone raising an outdoorsy kid. Pair it with cozy socks or a candle for an easy care package.
